 Susette Redwine – State President  

Susette will soon celebrate her 26th year as an active club woman of Kentucky.  She has held the positions of President, President-elect, Treasurer,Secretary, Corresponding Secretary,Parliamentarian, and numerous chairman positions in the Morehead Woman's Club. She served as Eighth DistrictGovernor 2002-04. On the state level,she has held the elected positions of 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President,and Treasurer, as well as having served on and chaired several State committees. Susette was the 2013 state LEADS participant.  Susette received a Master and Bachelor of Arts from Morehead State University, where she held several positions, including University Center and Conference Services Director during her professional career. Susette is also a member of many professional and social organizations and has been recognized with numerous awards including the National Association for Campus Activities Founder’s Awards, the highest recognition given by the Association. Susette is married to William(Bill) and they have two children,17 year old Deveney and 30 year old Brett, who teaches 7th grade math and is married to Emilee.

      Pat Harrington - President-Elect

Pat Harrington recently served as 1st Vice President of GFWC Kentucky. She has also served GFWC Kentucky as chair of Honorary Presidents and Past Governors Breakfast, Public Affairs/Community Safety program, the President’s Advisory Council, and as both Collaboration Chair and Partnership Chair of the Home Life Community Service Program.  Pat served on the Club women of the 21st Century committee, and was GFWC Kentucky’s LEADS Graduate in 2007. In 2006, Pat was selected Outstanding KFWC Clubwoman. She served on the GFWC SER Fundraising Committee 2008-2010.Pat is currently serving her second year as her Governor’s Aid. She was the Governor herself 2008-12, as well as Vice Governor 2007-08. During her tenure as Governor, they were named Outstanding District for 2008-10.  Pat Harrington has been an active member of Murray Woman’s Club since 1997. She currently serves as the club’s Parliamentarian, is a department chair, as well as serving on a number of committees. She has also served her club as President and numerous other positions.  Pat is immersed in service to her community. She is involved with many community boards. Her devotion to her community earned her the title of Citizen of the Year in 2006.  Pat earned her Bachelor of Science and her Master’s degrees from Murray State University. She works as a financial administrator.

  Beverly Pilgram - 1st Vice President

Beverly Pilgram has been a member of the Bettie Carter Morgan Woman’s Club of Erlanger for thirteen years. She has served as Treasurer, Secretary and President, and is currently the Home Life chairperson. Beverly has served as the Fifth District Governor during the 2012-2014 administration. She hasalso been a member of the GFWC Kentucky Nominating Committee. Bev received a bachelor’s degree from Morehead State University and a master’s degree from Northern Kentucky University. She was a special education teacher for 27 years in the Dayton (Ky.) Independent Schools.In 1988, she received a Golden Apple Award for her excellence in the classroom. After retirement from Dayton, Bev worked for two years in the Boone County Schools and has continued as a volunteer there.  Bev serves on the Board of Directors for the Lloyd Memorial High School Alumni Association and has been a One to One Literacy Coach. She assists the Erlanger Lions Club with eyesight screenings in the Erlanger-Elsmere Schools each year. Bev is married to Bill and has one daughter, Jennifer, and two stepsons, Bill and Matt. She especially enjoys spending time with her five grandchildren. Bev and Bill like to travel and play golf together. Beverly has attended GFWC/KY conventions, the SER convention and hopes to attend an International Convention in the near future.

Teresa Schmidt- 2nd Vice President

Teresa Schmidt presently serves as Governor of GFWC Kentucky Third District, and 2014-16 GFWC Kentucky State Fundraising Chairman. She is currently a member of the GFWC Kentucky Woman’s Club of St. Matthews. Teresa joined the Woman’s Club of Lyndon in 2005. She was 1st vice president 2006-2008 at which time she became president. She was president 2008-2010.  As GFWC Kentucky 3rd District chairman for Domestic Violence 2008-2010, she secured First Lady of the Commonwealth Jane Beshear as speaker for the Fall Conference. This was at the beginning of the First Lady’s “Shop and Share” project. Teresa was the 2010-2012 GFWC Kentucky State Chairman of the Legislative Committee. She was the 2012-2014 GFWC Kentucky Third District Vice Governor. Teresa has been a hairdresser for 46 years. She is married to Tony and they have a four-legged child named Wyatt. They currently live in Louisville, but there’s a mini farm in their future.

 

Donna Travis - State Recording Secretary

Donna Travis has been a member of the Woman's Club of Madisonville for 16 years.  She has served as the Club Treasurer, Recording Secretary, and Club President.  While serving as the Club President, she received the Carrie Stewart Club Service Award in 2009 and 2010.  She was awarded this due to her writing of the club's history - the first time that a history had been written for the club.  When she revised the club's history five years later in 2014, she once again was honored with this same award for publishing the second edition of the History of the Woman's Club of Madisonville.  She has most recently served as the Club's Education Chairman and helped to spearhead the club's project of donating $15,000 to the local library in 2015.  She is currently serving as the Club Historian - wonder why!                                                        

Donna has served as the Second District Secretary, Vice Governor, Governor, and is currently serving as the Second District Treasurer.  While serving in these roles, she received the "Vice Governor of the Year" Award in 2014 and the "Governor of the Year" Award in 2015.  She was also selected as the LEADS candidate for Kentucky in 2015 and attended the GFWC LEADS Seminar in Memphis.  On the state level, she has served as an Educational Partnership Chairman and is currently serving as the GFWC Kentucky State Recording Secretary.  Donna was selected as the GFWC Kentucky "Clubwoman of the Year" during 2016 and the Second District received the "Outstanding District" Award for 2016. Donna received her Bachelor's Degree in Vocational Home Economics from Morehead State University and her Master's Degree in Special Education - Neurologically Impaired from Eastern Kentucky University.  She taught school from 1975-1993 and has worked at the office of Travis & Brummer Pediatric Dentistry since 1993.  She is married to Randy and has a son, Adam, a daughter, Ellen (married to Sean), and one grandson, Owen Patrick, who is 10 months old.

 Vickie McBrayer - State Treasurer

Vicki McBrayer has been a member of the Morehead Woman’s Club since 2004. She has served as president, president-elect, first vice president, second vice president, as well as chairman of their International Outreach, Conservation, and Public Issues Area Service programs. She has also chaired and served on various other committees. Vicki has served GFWC Kentucky as Fundraising Chairman, Home Life Chairman, and was the 2011 recipient of the Spirit Award as Chairman of the Year. Along with her husband, Vicki owned and operated McBrayer’s Grocery. She was employed as bookkeeper for Battson Drug, Morehead Clinic Pharmacy, and Eagle Trace Golf Course where she was in charge of paying all bills, doing payroll weekly, and prepared quarterly taxes. This was prepared by using QuickBooks. She had a tax business for more than 35 years, preparing income taxes for clients. She retired after working 10 years at Edward Jones Investments where she was employed as the Branch Office Administrator.

Preshus Howard - Director of Junior Clubs

Preshus Howard has been an active member of Barbourville Junior Woman’s Study Club since joining in 2008. During that time she has received the honor of “Clubwoman of the Year” from her club several years.She has served in numerous chairman positions of her club. Preshus was Vice President for two years and is currently serving her second year as club president. She attends every local meeting and has attended state and national conventions as well.She is currently serving as Ninth District Junior Director. Preshus has also served as junior chair of committees at the state level.Preshus was GFWC Kentucky’s LEADS participant in 2012. Her club has this to say about their president, “Preshus has encouraged our club women to become more active in federation. Although we have a small club...we feel that the leadership she has given us enables us to accomplish more than most clubs twice or three times our size. She is continuously giving 110%to her club, family, job and community and encourages us to do the same. She shows a special interest in all of our members, taking a personal interest in our lives. Preshus’s leadership has allowed us to develop and collaborate with many community partners.”Preshus received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and her Masters of Arts and Rank I Certificate from Union College, where she now serves as the Director of ESU Candidate/Licensure Services. Preshus is married to her husband Billy and they have one child, Reagan.

Susan Alexander, has been a member of the Woman’s Club of Marion, in 1st District, for over 26 years, where she has served as President, Vice President and International Chairman.  Susan has held the elected position of GFWC Kentucky 1st Vice-President, 2nd Vice-President and Recording Secretary under the previous 3 administrations, and has also served as Governor, Vice-Governor, and State Chairman.

Susan currently serves as Resident Director of the Fohs Hall Community Arts Foundation, is affiliated with the School Community Arts Partnership Program, and is a past Board Member of the Four Rivers Art Center.  She has been recognized by the National Faculty for her partnership with the school arts program, and has performed and directed various stage productions.  She currently serves as Chamber of Commerce Executive Director and Marion Main Street Manager.

Professionally, Susan is a retired dental auxiliary.  She works to improve health care in the area through her association as a charter member of the West Kentucky Board for HIV Prevention and as a board member of the Livingston County Hospital, as the only woman to serve in its 50-year history.

Susan is married to Mick and they have one son, Max.  She is also blessed with a beautiful and intelligent granddaughter.  She and her family are lifelong members of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
